Outside of work, Suzanne enjoys living in the country and spending time with family.
After a formal education as a speech therapist she worked for over 25 years as a Developmental Specialist, Sr.
and Early Intervention Specialist throughout Idaho. In 1994 she was able to merge her love of horses with her knowledge of disabilities when she and a friend founded Whitewater Therapeutic and Recreational Riding Association in Salmon, Idaho.
She began college at the age of sixteen, attending Eastern Montana College for a short time.
In 1978, she received her undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University in Interpersonal Communications.
Joyce is an Advanced Therapeutic Riding Instructor.
She currently lives in Missoula, MT and travels monthly to Salmon to support WTRRA.
While at MSU-Bozeman Katie was very active in the Equine Program, taking and assisting with classes, as well as showing on the IHSA show team.
After graduation, she and her husband Jeff managed two different equine facilities and coached the MSU IHSA show team, as well as gave lessons, raised and trained horses, and operated a 4-H club for disadvantaged youth.
